Guest guest
I recieved a letter on Sat informing me that my insurance company is revoking my coverage of my life saving allergist, saying that his treatments are controversial and unproven. This is retroactive to Jan 1, 2005. I am going to have to find my policy.
Guest guest
It is looking pretty personal, as they have also revoked my coverage for my psychologist. My doc has filed an appeal, and is working on some research proving his method is both safe and effective, and I hoe it works. But, in reading the wording of the form, they are gunning for anyone that is practicing anything outside what they have declared normal. This sounds like what the state medical board here in MN has been doing for years- gunning for Environmental Doctors by saying their methods are unproven and experimental. They have taken away respected doctors liscences in the past, forcing them into retirement, and completely intimidating the rest. Also some have moved out of the state. Now my guy in in Wisc, so I guess they are going after him the old fashioned way- by taking away insurance coverage. I so hate the narrowmindedness that calls itself medicine in MN. Even with life saving diet improvements, they are 10 years behind in telling the patients about it. I felt like I had stepped into the dark ages when I moved here. I have not found a doc here in the 20 years I have been here that does not believe most symptoms of most people are all in their heads, including asthma and allergy. I gave up years ago. I doubt that there are any doctors that are not under the thumb of the medical establishment, and could or would risk treating anyone like me. If they got reported or found out, they could and might lose their liscence to practice. I have a friend that is a GP, and that person does not dare to practice the environmental medicine that keeps them functioning personally. No one has ever tried to test me for Lyme, despite it being endemic here. Or any other disease that is caused by ticks etc, that is treatable. I could not even get a doc to treat me for parasites when I had every symptom-because the fecal test (which are notoriously unreliable) came back negative. They may all be idiots. And yes, I think the ins company is trying to get paid back for payments they already made. But, I do not think they can do that. Maybe I can call the attorney general. > I recieved a letter on Sat informing me that my insurance company is revoking my > coverage of my life saving allergist, saying that his treatments are controversial and > unproven.
