Violations Found in U.S. Food by Ministry of Health: Last week, shipments of

U.S. almonds and popcorn were found to have illegal amounts of aflatoxin and

pyrimifos methyl, respectively. MHLW (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare)

ordered the shipment be returned or destroyed, but no further action was taken,

since monitoring levels for these two substances are already 100%.
