Barb, I don't know about collapsed lungs but we did have ours done last

spring. The firm that did ours also cleans hospitals. They didn't do anything

like the ones advertised on TV that just vacuum them out. They were here for

a

very busy 51/2 hrs.!!!! First they cleaned everything out, then cleaned

the insides with soft brushes, cleaned every vent cover and at the end of the

day they sprayed a sanitizer into the system and then turned on the AC. I

just stood outside on the deck and had absolutely no problems. They are

located in land and I have their number if you would like to call them.

Maybe

they could suggest someone in your area. I was very pleased with the work

and they came highly recommended by a man who is a medically driven

environmental health investigator, who is also sick from toxins and is MCS.

One evening, a couple years ago, I was listening to a

radio program out of New York City, and the guest

speaker was C. May, author of " My House Is

Killing Me, " and he spoke about how dangerous air duct

cleaning can be, and if I remember correctly, he

stated, if a person is allergic to the chemicals they

use to clean the ducts, their lungs can collapse.

Does anyone in this group know anything about that?

Barb E.
