Guest guest
The other day I was working at one of the country gift stores where I sell my stuf. They have one vender that sells fudge and out front was a sign that says " Fresh Fudge " . Well that got this guys attention and he came in and said he was from the weights and measures dept. And he needed to check out the fudge or rather that the scale was correct. So what he was thinking is that we sold it by the pound but it turned out the vendor had prepackaged fudge already weighted and he already delt with her company so there was nothing for him to do. It got my attention because as you all know, our stuf has to have weights labeled on it but I have never had anyone come to me and want to check my scale. Besides, they were at home. But anyway he dint take notice of my stuf, just the fudge. But I know there are people out there checking you.. I've heard of them but never actually seen one. I just thougth I'd pass that along. Guest guest
Thanks for the heads up Shaye. I know Weights and Measures regularly checks our stuff at Wegman’s. You can be over the stated weight but not under. I list all of my bars at 3.5 oz. That way I think I’m covered. On another note - I got some of Bramble Berry’s Champagne after I sniffed the sample Anne Marie sent. OMG!!! Bring on the champagne flutes…LOL Hope everyone is keeping warm.
