Guest guest
Maggie, if you don't know about it already, check Ebay for cutter quilts. They are in abundance and can be purchased inexpensively for your soap. Beth _www.soapandgarden.com_ (http://www.soapandgarden.com/) www.saponifier.com In a message dated 1/8/2008 10:37:53 A.M. Guest guest
I've been wrapping my soaps in quilt fabric for years. Customers love it and sometimes save the patches of fabric to bring back to me a year later. I cut the soap by hand and the fabric hides the inperfections in my cutting. It also protects the bars but lets the scent come through. I am turned off by shiny plastic wraps and shrink wraps. I don't like boxes, either. It can get expensive buying fabric so I look for sales. I buy lavender prints for lavender, yellow for lemongrass, etc. Works for me. Guest guest
Great ideas! Unfortunately I'm one of those people who likes to see what I'm buying before I buy it. LOL! I've never bought any soap retail or at a craft show if I couldn't see the actual bar I was purchasing, but that's just me. My glycerin bath bars are wrapped in plastic & then placed in a cardboard box with an oval window so any colors/swirls/etc., can be seen. I just put my cp soaps in the box without wrapping them. I've received great feedback about my packaging presentation from the retail shops where my soap is currently selling. My biggest thing is my decorative glycerin. I want it protected from dust and fingerprints, but it obviously needs to be seen and presented accordingly. I'm in no big rush to find something, but will need to change packaging before I get my summer items to the shops.
