Guest guest
A fellow DC just sent me the 2009 Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan. Under the section(#3) entitled, " How you Receive Benefits " , it lists covered professional providers. We are no longer in the " Physician " category along with an M.D., D.O., D.D.S., or even a doctor of Podiatry. Instead, we have been shunted to the " Other Covered Health Care Professionals " list. This list includes, dietitians, nurse practitioners, audiologists, speech therapists, and physicians assistants. Now, this plan is in Alaska not Oregon, but I feel this effects us all nationwide. What's next, I ask: stopping the reimbursement for labwork, imaging, or entry-level care???? All things privileged to licensed physicians....but what about the " other? " Getting pushed around by these business execs who aren't getting their bonus this year really pisses me off! ~whew~ cheers all, jeff foster, dc Eugene, or.
