Guest guest
you mean the xron sticker maker machine??? I have the Xron 900 that I use all the time. it is the only thing I use to make labels. I had using the precut mailing labels and stuff they sell at the store. Im sorry but Idon't like conformity. lol lol I like to be able to make my labels whatever shape or size I want and to even use fancy sissors around the edges too if I want. Im not sure what xyron model you need help with but I can bring mine along and show you if you want. > > Any chance someone might demo the Xyron? Guest guest
no unfortunatly it does not come with a program for the computer. you just use whatever program you prefer to use. you don't even need to use a computer program you COULD just use a rubber stamp or draw out the design yourself and get it photocopied. I like the 900 because it takes a full 8 x 11 " sheet of paper. So I just print off a sheet of labels or take my photo copied page and run it through. FOr waterproofing, you can get permanent stick single sided lamenent. However I find that I usually have to order this through Joann.com using my 40% off coupons. However if my memory serves me right I think that I might have remembered seeing it at AC moore about a month ago. The single sided lament is hard to find as stores don't always stock it like they do the magnet, double lamenent, permanet adhesive and tempory adhesive. but you can order it like i said. you cn also do clear labels I have done this before and If I can find an old jar with it I can show you what It looks like. FOr that you print your label on a printer made overhead projector sheets. you know those clear sheets, but for the printer they have a coating that allows the ink to stick. you have to change the printing mode so it prints properly, usually if you tell it your using the projector sheets it will print it backwards for you. This way your ink is now behind the clear sheet. run it through the xyron and use. The only problem is that the label is now a bit stiff and will want to stay straight and not curve if putting it on a curved surface like a bottle or tube. but it does this too with other the other paper labels if your using say a lipgloss tube or something really curvy. for that I just use a strip of really clear tape to hold the two ends together to keep them from popping up. xyrons are found at any of your local craft stores. they carry them at micheals, AC moore and Joann's. ANd like i said the lamenent i think is at AC moore but im not certain 100% it also comes in various sizes. I like the 900 due to the full sheet size, it also comes with a removeable papercutter so you can cut off the piece you need from the machine then use it to trim down your sticker. I hope this helps. > > > > Any chance someone might demo the Xyron? Guest guest
I am all for a whipped anything. Id love to know how people know when it is whipped enough without whipping ti too much as I know some of that whipped foaming butter stuff falls if whipped too much. Speaking of whipped also.... I would love to see someone do whipped soap like frosting soap. I have heard of people doing it and seen it on websites. like for soap cupcakes or bath bombs. either M & P soap or CP would be awsome. > > > > From: Beth Byrne <bthbyrne@...> > > Subject: Demos > > " " < > > > Date: Tuesday, March 22, 2011, 1:05 AM > > > > > > So, here are the ideas thus far for demos: > > > > candle making > > show-and-tell of favorite tools, etc. > > Whipped shea butter > > Scent blending > > Multiple colors in soap > > Hot process > > Open mic - discussion about methods, tools, business ideas, etc. > > > > We got lots of positive feedback for the show-and-tell, some for open mic, > > but nothing else. > > > > What would you like to see? > > > > Would you be willing to demonstrate something? > > > > Beth Byrne > > http://www.SoapAndGarden.com > > Garden goodness in every bar! > > www/SoapandGarden.blogspot.com > > http://www.Saponifier.com > > > >
