Guest guest
I never actually thought about mold giving off VOC's. I know about the chemicals. On the other hand I got caught up with just looking for mold and forgot about my chemicals. I live in a mobile home and I have no outside storage, which I should have built aplace. I close my bedroom door at night and when I first open my bedroom door, I was noticing a strong odor. My utility room is right off of the hallway leading from my bedroom to the kitchen. Above the washer and dryer is a shelf where I had about 20 different bottles of chemicals! I put all of them outside two days ago and I know longer smell that odor and I know I lessened my total load and I think I feel a slightly better. I wanted to post this to those other new ones having trouble living in their habitat. I also can see other area's which could be putting off something which may be adding to my body's not feeling well. I was wondering if others noticed as another list member and I did when I went to Dr Rea's web site and saw that one of his " safe houses " had aluminum foil on an entire wall. she mentioned it but no one responded. I have been told that putting our things in plastic bad will stop cross- contimination so I do that religiously but since Dr Rea is using aluminm foil to stop mold spore from getting into a room, that makes me think that aluminum foil can be used? I am not aware where I can buy rolls of foil other than the 36 " ones at grocery stores. also bought a mask good for keeping out mold spores and I especially wear it when using my computer. I blew out my computer and other things but I can still tell this is one of my largest output of mold spores. I think my TV is somewhat so I don't leave it on except the time I am watching it. I noticed that Dr Rea suggested that TV's be put in a box outside of the house so it does not add to the pollution of the house. It was hard to tell but it looked like he had it hanging out a window like the window a/c's but not sure. I know that most of this is old news for the long-time members but new to me and maybe some of the other new members. Bob
