I bought eight of them. four of the ones with full-spectrum light. I

prefer that type of light as the other ones put off a light with a

yellow kind of tint.

I had them spread through the 70' of my mobile home. I had them up for

over three weeks and I took them down yesterday. I thought that when I

entered my bedroom that the air smell a little fresher but I am

concerned about two things. One is that they contain mercury. I have

not emailed the company yet to find out where the mercury is and is it

possible for someone to be exposed to mercury by using the lights? Like

Carl says, you replace one problem with another.

The second is the bulbs are coated with titanium dixoide. Their

literature says that scientists from Penn State stumbled on to this

discovery of bulbs being able to vaporize mold spores and other things.

I do not know how much this product has been tested and could it have

side-effects which are not known yet. I have had lung congestion for

the past two weeks. I just received my second round of abx, this time

an IV of Rocephin. It does not seem to be making my chest less

congested. I feel that it may be a mold reaction but the for the past 8-

10 times that I have returned here, I always started developing

headaches, swelling of the brain and bad fatigue. I am been here since

12/8/05 and no headache yet, though they may yet come, or swelling of

the brain. I have trouble getting out of bed when I awake at 8 am. It

is like I took a sleeping pill and I finally am able to get up around

11 am. I feel this is related to my environment as I don't have that

problem when sleeping in a tent.

If they do no harm, then at least I have eight good bulbs.

Usually mercury is in florescent bulbs, sealed in the glass. It is used to add

color, or

change the color. If you have a neon sign, it is red-orange (the natural color

of neon gas)

and if you want a blue sign, you use argon gas with a drop of mercury added at

the time of

filling and sealing the bulb.

It should not leak unless it is broken. If it leaks, it will not work, as there

will be no gas to

floresce.
