Guest guest
That is odd, . You can wait a few days because sometimes, the oil soaks back in. Otherwise, rebatching it is fine, even with oatmeal. Beth _www.soapandgarden.com_ (http://www.soapandgarden.com/) www.saponifier.com In a message dated 1/12/2008 7:33:12 P.M. Guest guest
Yes, there are pockets of lye, so I'll be rebatching. I believe that somehow, it wasn't mixed up properly, but I can't explain is why, because though it was all prepared at the same time, only the soap in one mold did that. The soap in the other mold is behaving normally. I made one batch of soap and poured it into two molds. All my other recent batches are just fine, so I doubt it's the lye. Thanks for your help, Leigh. Beth _www.soapandgarden.com_ (http://www.soapandgarden.com/) www.saponifier.com In a message dated 1/13/2008 8:26:51 A.M. It could be it wasn't mixed properly or more likely that your lye was adulterated therefore not giving you an accurate weight when you prepared it... in other words, not enough lye. Are there any pockets of lye? **************Start the year off right.
