Guest guest
re: "So my question is, if I submit patient addresses and names for the purpose of this news letter, is there an issue? I know hippa keeps us from sharing medical info and the patients have not signed up for a news letter from me since I don't have one. But if I am not releasing ther personal medical info just an address for mailing too (not selling their names either) does that fall under hippa?" ANYONE who releases MY name and address for ANY purpose without MY authorization is going to hear about it....especially for 'news letters' etc.... And just why does their name/address have to be from YOU? I'm one of those who believes "right to privacy" means just that....independent of HIPPA, etc. Unsolicited marketeering of ANY kind is one of those things that is further intrusion into the private lives of all of us. And when 'sending in articles' just why is it necessary for those 3rd party companies to 'just see the names and addresses'.... Sounds like a marketing ploy. J.
