" rose water " can be anything...could be water with rose essential oil, could be water with rose absolute, could be water with rose FO...there is no " legal standard " ... probably add a solublizer to the above list of possibilities, to keep it from separating. Rose HYDROSOL, the original rose water, is from the still where the roses were distilled. depends on what you have. Guest guest
Very good. Thanks! Rose is a flavor that's best used as a subtle nuance rather than as an in-your-face flavor. I've had cookies and muffins that are rose-flavored. Just a teaspoon or so works. There is a candy, the kind in the Narnia film, Turkish Delight, that is flavored with rose. I just have to try it sometime. Beth _http://www.soapandgarden.com_ (http://www.soapandgarden.com/) Be good to your skin! www.saponifier.com In a message dated 7/8/2008 9:12:16 P.M. Guest guest
An update on that rose water that i found at Tops. It cmes in ( i think) an 8oz glass bottle for $3.99. I found it in the ethnic food section. I think it might have been Thia food maybe. Where ever the jars of humus can be found. Our store has the asian food across the aisle from it. I hope people can find it alright. I bought a bottle of it very rosey. nice stuff. Now i need to figure out what I want to do with it. Guest guest
My favorite way to use rose water is with peeled oranges cut so you have circles and with some pith left on, sprinkle a teaspoon of rosewater, a teeaspoon of orange blossom water, a teaspoon of ground cinnimon and about a tablespoon of sugar. I usually arrange the slices in a 9 X 13 glass baking dish, sprinkle the waters, sugar and cinnamon all over and serve. Hugs! lover of medieval food of > > Very good.
