Guest guest
-----Original Message----- From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of fletch_82000 ..>>>>>Every night my son gets Quercetin with psyllium husks(to act like CSM?) and cod liver oil and a transfer factor children's multi-vitamin with two meals. Our small school has had the flu big time, many kids have been throwing up, but my three have avoided it so far. We do not eat junk food at home. That is not to say they get plenty in school, especially during this holiday season. My son alwayed seemed to get sick around the holidays and I did convince my wife that maybe all the sugar was somehow related, but I can not control the school very much....>>>> Hi Fletch: Just my petals of wisdom concerning giving your son quercetin with psyllium husks at the same time and other supplements/foods. What I've found is that the psyllium seeds will bind to whatever else is in the digestive system and move it through the intestines. This action would not allow the quercetin, cod liver oil and multi-vits to be digested and absorbed into the blood system. You might consider a time delay of at least 2 hours when using psyllium husks or any other bulking agent. Rosie
Guest guest
I was taking every supplement known to mankind, including a gram a day of quercetin and the best that any of them could do was quell the headaches and ringing in my ears for a few hours. (I got this with a combo of piracetam/idebenone/ALC/ALA) They also seem to have eliminated the cloudy eyes problem, for the most part.. (I would wake up in the morning with my eyes all cloudy and my eyes were almost never clear, which was painful and distracting.) I still take those supps, but at reduced levels because CSM has been working at reducing the background level of symptoms, clearly, and the reduction seems to 'stick' much more than that of other things. My partment gets a lot of mycotoxins from the building, but its not the kind of doses that we got a month ago when they were doing work downstairs. When I get that kind of mold exposure - new, high-level exposure, like a few days ago, when I had to escort some folks around my basement, my system *still* goes to hell for a few days. I become a wreck. But its nowhere near as bad as before. The difference is QUITE noticable now. The way I see is is that CSM is removing the 'old' mycotoxins from my system. Not the 'new' ones, the old ones.. But every little bit helps.. Guest guest
Rosie, Psyllium (metamucil) is NOT anything at all like CSM. It is a LAXATIVE, it does nothing to bind mycotoxins in the biliary system. That said, some people have found ACTIVATED CHARCOAL PILLS to be helpful, when taken in a similar way that people take CSM. But its not a substitute, from what I have read, its completely different in what it does and where it does it. When i was really ill, it didn't do anything for me. CSM did. And after a week it was quite noticable. I'm still ill (I think that I am one of the people who has suffered permanent damage from this) but I do feel much better than I did a few weeks ago, when I was at my wits end, and completely overwhelmed by the mold effects.. literally losing it, sweating, weak, unable to sleep, nose, eyes, lungs burning. Ears ringing, headaches, you name it. CSM is cheap, compared to your life... Guest guest
From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of LiveSimply ..>>>Psyllium (metamucil) is NOT anything at all like CSM. It is a LAXATIVE, it does nothing to bind mycotoxins in the biliary system..>>> I am confused why you would respond to my email as you did. I did not state nor imply that psyllium (seeds and husk of sp Plantago plants) are comparable in action to CSM. I did not even address CSM. My only objective was to warn Fletch that the psyllium will bind up nutrients in the intestines and not allow them to be digested and absorbed into the blood stream for the expected results. Nothing else was stated nor implied in my post. And to be technically correct psyllium husk/seeds are classified in the medical and scientific fields as a mucilage. The same binding property applies to the food-grade clays people use, activated charcoal and other " binding " substances to regulate bowel movement and there are many reputable on-line sources that will confirm my statement we should not ingest bulk intestinal products with food or nutrients if we wish to have the expected results of the oral supplements. And since you brought up CSM, I have never taken CSM and am 90% better than I was in 2002 using other protocols. I am neither pro nor con for CMS; only stating as others have that there are many protocols available to us. Let's respect each other, share our experiences, but not insist there is only one way to improve our health. We are all different, have different abilities, physical distress and dysfunctions, financial and family responsibilities, emotions and desires. We cannot dictate to each other what must be done; only listen, share and be open and willing to listen to the ability of what others can and are willing to do and still support them if they do not wish to incorporate our protocols into their lifestyles.
