Guest guest
Hello doctors, I have had a few work comp issues lately. I dont know if any of you have noticed a pattern, however i would greatly appreciate any input. 1) I have been treating a workcomp case for about 1 visit/week for 3 weeks, this patient has some mild pain in his neck and upper back. He insisted that he get a referal to an M.D for pain meds.. I obliged and reffered him. Do i lose my attending status even if i have not gone over the 18 visit/60 day rule? 2) I have another case in which i received a letter from saif stating the patient had been enrolled into an MCO panel as of April 10,2008. The patients date of injury was March 4, 2008 and has been treating well within the 18 visit/60 day rule. It is my understanding that once i receive this letter, the patient needs to be reffered to a provider of this MCO panel. 3) I have noticed that saif has not been paying for the initial visit which includes the exam,x-ray, and treatment. Anyone have any similiar experience? Thank you in advance, Cha D.C More immediate than e-mail? Get instant access with Windows Live Messenger.
