Guest guest
You must bill the Workers' Comp carrier since this was a job related injury...it matters not if they were in a car at the time..... Vern Saboe Question about work comp / pip I have a patient who came in today who was injured on the job (auto accident) on 9/9/08. He was referred by his primary after a few rounds of PT. Do I bill the pip at this point or the WC?Thanks for your help, Radspinner,DC
Guest guest
No, we are lumped in with the naturopaths, physician assistants (only if the MD has signed rights over to the PA), and Podiatrists. The physical therapists were not part of our HB 2756 and as such are simply considered attached to the MD or simply medical treatment and the 18 and 60 clock does start running until the first visit with the DC. Vern Question about work comp / pip Vern. Since this patient has already been to a pt, doesn't this start the 18/90 rule in which we are lumped into all physical medicine? If not, then I am mistaken. (like that hasn't happened before). And if this is the case, the patients rights to receive care at a DC's office would have ran out. Then, there would have to be a referral from the md.
