I would just go on as planned. Just make the next meal a BFL meal and do your workouts as scheduled. Colleen

So then on the coming free day, I wouldn't go hog wild, I'd just have a free meal or two. That's what some peole do anyways, they break their free day up. That's how I do it sometimes if I have two things to go to in one week, or I accidentally consume a brownie or two... Don't make it all or nothing or life will surely get in the way! Guest guest
Pretend it didn't happen. Probably the worst thing you can do when you blow a meal or workout is to feel guilty and overcompensate. If you punish yourself by eating less, doing more exercise, canceling free day, etc., it will eventually backfire. That's like the single biggest lesson you can learn during a 12 week challenge. If you make a mistake, it's over immediately. Get right back on track with the next meal or workout. If every time you slip up you kick yourself and start feeling guilty, resentful, disappointed, anxious... then you're in big trouble, because all of those emotions cause people to eat. :-) It's best to just look at where you went wrong, learn from it, and do better next time. That mindset will keep you on target for a very long time. Doing penance just makes it more tempting to quit. Guest guest
Thanks. I did feel guilty and very full afterwards. I just wanted to run around the block a few times to work it off. I usually don't have sweets in my house but they were leftovers that a family member left here from Saturday. I'm just going to move on. On another topic though, my first 4 weeks were great. I did the first two weeks with no food slip-ups at all and the next two with a few minor food slips here and there but nothing major. This week though, I keep messing up. I just can't get totally committed like before. It is like the newness wore off and this is what always happens with me. It is only with the food part though, I haven't missed a workout yet. Any suggestions? Re: Ooops Pretend it didn't happen. Probably the worst thing you can do when you blow a meal or workout is to feel guilty and overcompensate.
