The tamper for your large container has a graduated "bump" in the middle that fits the smaller hole in the 32 oz. container, so you can use your large tamper in the 32 oz. container, however, the only two times I've ever "chewed up a tamper" was when I was using my large tamper in my 32 oz. container. An over zealous shove of the tamper can send it through the hole and into the blades. You can use the large tamper in the 32ox container.

If you are AGGRESSIVE with it like I was then it MAY become part of

your smoothie.
