Guest guest
I am not sure, but I was disappointed as well because I brought mine recently as well. I am now returning mine to order the GC version. I don't think the differance is that major. But mine came with the 48oz container, so I am returning for the bigger container. They have stated that the motor is 2.25 HP so it is " the most powerful Vitamix ever sold on QVC. " > > All of the Vitamixes I could find on Vitamix.com only have 2HP. Does anyone think 1/4 more horsepower makes THAT much of a difference? > > I bought the 5200 from QVC this past August when it was the TSV. I am very happy with my Vitamix, but I would be a little disappointed to know there is a better, more powerful unit for only slightly more money since I bought mine so recently. > > Thanks for your help! >
Guest guest
In the past in the demo on QVC, the soup they made took 8 minutes to make. With this more powerful motor it took 5 minutes to make. The more powerful motor runs faster so it would take less time.
