I love cranberry sauce and this does sound yummy as an occasional treat. Thanks for both posts •Robbin On Jan 28, 2012, at 8:43 AM, "flnancy1958" <flnancy1958@...> wrote:

A really good one, not so healthy is a can of cranberry sauce and a can of pineappe with some coconut flakes. Delicious but a bit bad because of the fructose.

An occasional treat.

CRANBERRY SAUCE

Printed from COOKS.COM

Read more about it at www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,221,155179-231200,00.htmlContent Copyright © 2012 Cooks.com - All rights reserved.

1 quart cranberries1 quart sugar1 pint cold water1 tbsp. Fresh lemon or orange juice (optional)

Wash berries well and put in a stainless steel saucepan. Cover with one pint cold water. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes; stir in 1/4 of the sugar. Crush the berries lightly but do not stir. When the sugar has melted, add another 1/4 of the sugar. Reduce heat to lowest setting and continue to cook, adding the sugar a little at a time until all is used and has turned to syrup. Be sure NOT to stir! When the berries are soft and clear, the sauce is done. Adjust to your desired sweetness. A squeeze of fresh lemon or orange juice can add a little brightness to the flavor if needed (optional).

Make your own sauce and get rid of the bad additives, it's easy. You can also use a diabetic friendly type sugar with this, which I have too.lol

I like this. Can Stevia be used here in place of sugar? •Robbin On Jan 28, 2012, at 9:00 AM, "Old and Forgotten" <busresponsible@...> wrote:

Hmmmm, I make fresh cranberry sauce, using splenda, this doessound good!If interested: 1 orange with half the peel removed, one bag of fresh cranberries, 1 Gala apple and 1/3 cup Splenda "Granules". Using tamper, quickly advance VitaMix to speed 10. In a matter of seconds you have fresh cranberry

sauce. And yes I do use 1/2 of the orange, orange rind. It's best when chilled in fridg. for an hour, or

so. From: Robbin <diciacco1@...> " " < > Sent: Saturday, January 28, 2012 5:55 AM Subject: Re: Re: Your most favorite recipe in your vitamix
