Guest guest
Dear Ken, We encouraged our daughter's 4th grade teacher to call our therapist and consult with her freely, without having to go through us. That was most helpful as the teacher felt that she had a resource to fall back on - and she did. Like , we told the school to call us ANYTIME with questions, feedback, etc. I also casually stop in to the class to check with the teacher as to how things are going and update her on what we have been working me. They have had time to rest for a bit, but not long enough to have forgotten anything that happened during a day!!! wendy in canada
Guest guest
Gail, When one of my preschoolers has challenges ( I've been teaching for 20 yrs)and a therapist is involved, allowing the teacher direct access to the therapist, without going through the parents, is one of the most helpful, beneficial strategies for success. This is a really good idea and I'm glad you mentioned it.
