Guest guest Posted January 18, 2012 Report Share Posted January 18, 2012 Hi all! As I'm getting to know my Vitamix again, I decided I might try one of those green smoothies on the chart. (I had made the broccoli cheese soup last night though and wanted to grate some cheddar cheese for tonight. I cubed a piece of cheddar and threw it in the container on 1 variable and while it cut up lots of it, some I just couldn't get out of the container. I decided to have green soup!) amount of cheese stuck to bottom of the container 1/2 head romaine (thanks Lea Anne) 1 carrot 1/8 of roma tomato that was in the fridge 1 bosc pear 3/4 cup red seedless grapes 2 TBS of roasted chicken gel stock 3 sprigs of italian parsley (I'm not sure of amounts I can get away with, suggestions welcome) Turned it on from variable 1 up to 10 and let it go about 5 minutes. It was warm, but would've liked it hotter. (how long can you safely leave this puppy on?) It came out delicious!!! I'm guessing that a smoothie can become a soup? ::giggle:: I also have the grain container, but i lost the cookbook and docs that came with it, in a move. Is that cookbook available online?
