Don't worry too much about the social thing. It will resolve itself I am sure. I know as a parent how hard it is to differantiate between ocd and adolescence. They are confusing. If ocd inhibits him try a support group. There is one online and I know I am helped but his one so perhaps its also supportive for them. It is sub--ocdteen--22238egroups. Write to them and type subscribe in body of e mail. If you have trouble let me know. Its difficult and sad to watch your teen or pre-teen go through life with the added burden of ocd. It is a stressful time for them and they don't need added anxieties. Try to remember that alot of what they are going through is " normal stuff " . I know how confused I get at times trying to decipher which problems are because of ocd and which are not. It gives me a headache at times. Remember always that YOU are doing the very best YOU can. Guest guest
Hi and Sheree and listers: Thanks for the offers of help. I have mentioned the list to my son and told him how helpful lists can be. He knows that without the Internet we would be dead in the water trying to cope with his OCD. Somehow he doesn't yet want to get on the list. Maybe with a little more puberty happening....... Thanks for the concern and suggestions, aloha, Kathy >From: " TeenList OCD " <teenocd@...> > >Did someone need help getting on the Teen list? >\o/<Teen ListMaster waving arms around to offer help> > > Lister >Teen ListMaster >Subscribe- ocdteen-subscribeegroups >Unsubscribe- ocdteen-unsubscribeegroups >kelly@... >http://www.angelfire.com/il/TeenOCD/ >Sponsored by OCSDA >http://www.ocdhelp.org/ >http://www.ocdhelp.org/chat.html > > " Every good thought you think is contributing its share to the ultimate >result of your life " >- Grenville Kleiser > >( ) ( ) > -@-@- > >d< >Teen OCD Guard & Mascot O.C. >http://www.angelfire.com/il/TeenOCD/OC.html > > > > > >Dear Kathy: l2 is an awkward time for boys.
