Guest guest
So glad you knew the answer Rena - I was just about to look it up…Then, she will have to create mail rules so that the Vitamix Enthusiasts emails will end up in there. Here is a Google search for "how to set up mail rules in Outlook". http://www.google.com/search?client=safari & rls=en & q=how+to+set+up+mail+rules+in+outlook & ie=UTF-8 & oe=UTF-8 Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))>< On Jan 31, 2012, at 3:38 PM, Rena Glubay wrote: In Outlook, just right click on your Inbox and select New Folder. Hi Tom, I am able to turn any veggies (no matter how dry) into pulp (using the tamper and the lower variable speeds) with no water. I do, however, add 1/2 of a lemon which gives some liquid to get things started. Todays green pulp had even more "liquid" because I used 1/2 of a cucumber. The greens were 2 stalks of celery, about 2/3 of a pound of collards, and about 1/3 of a pound of parsley. I use the lower variable speeds (usually around 5) and put some greens in, use the tamper and chop them up (reduces the volume significantly) then repeat over and over until I get about 4-5 cups of green pulp. Then, I scrape down the sides to get all of the greens into the pulp mass and run it on high for about 15 seconds (the pulp does NOT heat up during this time). Then I pour it all into my nut milk bag and let the squeezing begin! I had to turn it off half way through it was so bad but the point I gathered from this is that you have to water down blended vegetables to the point that they are tasteless. Is that your experience? Thanks for the heads up Tom. I've looked locally, but only really old ones show up (so far). Even at $680 it is too much for me considering I get the same kind of juice (or better) using my Vitamix and my nut milk bag. Now that I have my Hamilton Beach Citrus Press to get the LAST TINY DROP out of the pulp, I'm all set. I just finished an ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS "Cold Green Soup" which contained the juice of a pound of Greens! Blessings,Lea Ann Savage
