That's funny. There is always someone who can't do something, or has a different viewpoint about everything. I LOVE using my Vitamix to make coconut butter! YUM!Thanks for sharing the link - I just had to add my .2 to the comments :-)

Hi Le Ann. You mention in your entry that it only takes 60 seconds in the vitamix. Do you just put the dry coconut in the regular container? I love coconut and would like to try this. Thanks, TrishSent from my iPadOn Mar 3, 2012, at 5:48 AM, Lea Ann Savage <lsavage@...> wrote:

Hello Trish,You will LOVE coconut butter! There is a lot of information saved about all things coconut butter on our group website. To find it…1) Go to: http://www..com (this page should be bookmarked - or, you can find it at the bottom of your emails if they look like this:/photos/album/42464479/pic/2096576504/view?picmode= & mode=tn & order=ordinal & start=1 & count=20 & dir=asc )2) Once you are at our group page look for the Link titled Links on the left - like this:/photos/album/42464479/pic/679108320/view?picmode= & mode=tn & order=ordinal & start=1 & count=20 & dir=asc3) After you click on the Links page, click on the folder titled "Recipes" You can probably figure this out easily, but here is a picture:/photos/album/42464479/pic/837301212/view?picmode= & mode=tn & order=ordinal & start=1 & count=20 & dir=asc4) Once you are on the Links>Recipe Folder, you will see this:/photos/album/42464479/pic/828578646/view?picmode=original & mode=tn & order=ordinal & start=1 & dir=ascOn this page is a sub-folder titled, "Coconut Butter Info. and Recipes" Let me know if you have any questions after looking over the links in the "Coconut Butter Info. and Recipes" folder!

Thank you so much! I went and read and made some. It's so delicious! All I had was some sweetened flakes, so I used that and some coconut oil and it came out great. My little chis love it, too. I can use that to give meds to them, if ever necessary.

Thanks again and have a blessed day.

Trisha

P.S. Did I understand correctly when I went to the other link about parasites at the bottom of the page? Did you have a problem you didn't know about?

WOW - you are FAST!Hmmm, unsweetened coconut flakes are what you are "supposed" to use. I "thought" it was because the sweetened would gum up - but you proved that "thought" wrong! You got it right - I had tapeworms and didn't know it until I did the treatment for getting rid of tapeworms (totally by accident) and made the discovery!

Yes, it worked fine, maybe because I didn't know any better!

That is scary that you could have that and not even know it!

Hopefully this isn't a repeat as was typing my reply and it vanished...thanks

for letting us know how well it worked as a newbie have been wanting to try same

and got reminded today while looking at Chocolate Covered blog...she calls

hers Coconut Butter Melties but like the pictures of the candy form which gave

me ideas for Easter candy for nieces and nephew...

http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2010/11/01/one-ingredient-artisana-coconut-butt\

er-melties/

Thinking of all the varieties I can make with just adding some different

extracts - lemon, orange, strawberry, raspberry, butter rum, etc...so glad the

Watkins extracts are readily available.

but for me (chocoholic that I can be if I allow myself), I am going to try this

with cacao powder and maybe some chocolate extract with the liquid stevia - have

a vanilla cream flavor stevia...

http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2010/05/20/homemade-artisana-cacao-

Glad the Vitamix is so easy to clean, unlike the person commenting on

thekitchn.com site experienced, as looks like I am going to be busy making quite

a few coconut treats!!!
