Hi Louis:

Thanks for your good wishes for the summer. Steve is already out of school

as of last Wednesday. Unfortunately this has not yet turned into a

reduction in stress but rather his OCD has been waning a bit. Changing

from the routine of school to being at home (where generally his OCD is

harder to control) with little structure has highlighted the chronic

inflexibility which plagues him.

We are adjusting to this and I hope we are wise to send him off with his

older brother to visit with relatives in the Bay area next Friday. Last

year I canceled this trip as far too risky and I hope I am not relying too

much on his improvement and expecting more than is reasonable. Certainly

this last school year was such an incredible improvement on the hell of the

year before it is hard not to be pretty optimistic.
