Guest guest
Hi everyone! I'm starting to check this list more often to try to keep up with the number of messages being posted. Chris: My daughter does not have ADD/ADHD. I've tried to intervene when she is " spacing out " and she just about chews my head off and sometimes she snaps out of it as if being caught at something. I'm puzzled at times as I'm sure you are also. She did start having difficulties in school and her teacher called me to let me know about it. She was also erasing and redoing things especially when it came to doing tests. Her teacher now gives her extra time doing tests and she seems to be doing much better with her tasks. Her recent report card was much improved over the last one especially with her teacher recognizing that she has OCD. Someone mentioned that their child's obsessions differred from one week, or longer, to the next. I think it was Sheree! My daughter (13) took an 18 month absence from her washing her hands to where she is today. I can't explain that and neither can her doctor. I, too, have also noticed that after we have a really good week or so, then we have a really bad few days. Weird, eh! (Pardon me. That " eh " was so Canadian). Yes, I'm Canadian!! I'm glad to see others take personal time with themselves or with their hubbies. My hubby and I and 2 dog go for a walk every night to clear the air and get fresh air. I need it more than he does because I have to deal with every morning whereas he leaves at 5 am. My birthday is next week (the big 40) so we are hitting the town. And boy, I can't wait! Take care everyone. Patty ____________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com.
