That depends on the reason for not having dairy. If you are allergic to it,

then yes, you should avoid it (though most people, myself included, who are

allergic to commercial dairy tolerate RAW dairy just fine-the issues are what

the animals are fed, usually not the dairy itself) Kefir contains many

beneficial enzymes that aid digestion, but your end product of kefir is only as

good as the ingredients you start with. Commercial dairy is a bad idea on many

levels-organic is a good choice, raw is the best choice. If you can say WHY you

are supposed to avoid dairy, perhaps we can give better info?

Hi ,I just feel better when I avoid dairy...no allergies or anything. I am doing the Eat for your blood type program by Dr. D'Adamo and O blood types are advised to avoid dairy products. One more reason to be so happy about ice cream made from fruit !!!!I make Kombucha tea but was wondering about the kefir.ThxRonaye From: <berrywell@...>

In that case, I recommend trying some kefir-it is simply wonderful for your

digestion, especially if you can make it with raw milk (hard to find, I know,

but worth the effort if you can make kefir, yogurt, butter, etc. with it)
