You can also make some delicious protein bars with the pulp left from juice-just

mix in a dollop of yogurt, a little cocoa powder, agave or honey and blend

well-roll in to a log like slice and bake cookies, freeze until JUST firm enough

to slice, then eat as is or dehydrate them for crunchy bars. You can also add

pumpkin, chia, sunflower or flax seeds to them for an extra boost of nutrition,

or a little cooked oatmeal or red quinoa. You can also add the pulp to baked

goods, such as muffins. Keep up the good work!

large vegetable shake morning and evening and a meat and veg lunch. He has been

doing this since the beginning of January and has lost weight and has a bit more

energy. not as drastic of improvements for him as for some as we already ate

pretty healthfully. Anyway, he was really getting tired of the shakes and still

didn't find them enjoyable as they were usually fruit free (sometimes an apple)

and loaded with greens and other veggies. Something he started doing was to

strain the juice and then dry the pulp in a food dryer at low temp. There is

still plenty of fiber to give him that full filling left in the shake and he is

enjoying the veggie " chips " as a snack without increasing the actual volume or

content of his diet.

Does he put lemon or vinegar in the all veggie shakes? I find one or the other is "required" for me to enjoy the taste of an all veggie shake…
