UPDATE - I did my first wash with Soap Nuts yesterday, and the laundry seemed just as clean (and I love the essential oil smell added - especially knowing that essential oils are good for you - unlike chemical fragrances). However, I see that I paid a little bit too much for my soap nuts. LaundryTree charges $29.99 + $8.09 shipping = $38.08 (for 500 grams) I found this site: http://www.organicsoapnuts.net/order.html which charges $20.00 + $9.95 shipping = $29.95 (for 500 grams)I have not "shopped" the Internet yet to find an even better deal, just wanted to share what I ran across without much searching :-)

I did use them for laundry for a long time. As I said, I can't really remember why I quit using soap nuts-I think I just ran out of a source for buying them back when I used them-internet wasn't so available at the time, lol. They did a great job. I now use just baking soda and peroxide for laundry, but I think I will order some of the nuts and give them another go!

I got mine on Amazon last week and paid $25.95 with no shipping (I have Prime)

for 2lbs, organic. Guess there has been a price increase since then.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DU6SAM

Going to try them this weekend.

LaundryTree charges $29.99 + $8.09 shipping = $38.08 (for 500 grams) I found

this site: http://www.organicsoapnuts.net/order.html which charges $20.00 +

$9.95 shipping = $29.95 (for 500 grams)
