Guest guest
My husband has been inspired by the film "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead" to have a large vegetable shake morning and evening and a meat and veg lunch. He has been doing this since the beginning of January and has lost weight and has a bit more energy. not as drastic of improvements for him as for some as we already ate pretty healthfully. Anyway, he was really getting tired of the shakes and still didn't find them enjoyable as they were usually fruit free (sometimes an apple) and loaded with greens and other veggies. Something he started doing was to strain the juice and then dry the pulp in a food dryer at low temp. There is still plenty of fiber to give him that full filling left in the shake and he is enjoying the veggie "chips" as a snack without increasing the actual volume or content of his diet.
