Ok, out of curiosity, I just weighed the bunch of Kale I bought today

for $1.79 a bunch. It weighed in at 9.6 oz. Just over half a pound.

Which would be around $3.30 a lb if I my brain is not totally fried. Oh,

and this was organic, and the non organic, amazingly enough was marked

same price.

I still have kale in the garden and its growing again. I would suggest a planter box or planter and grow some . It keeps reproducing leaves. I am going to try that as I am in a different place than last summer.

Velda,

Kale is $3.69 at Whole Foods and $3.00 at Grassroots Natural Food Store near me for one bunch of kale. You are lucky it is so cheap where you live.

Yes, I have noticed that bunches of kale differ in amount depending on the season.

On Wednesdays after Weight Watchers I often go by the local Sunrise

Health Food store and today found large bunches of " Dino " kale for

$1.23! Yay. I fixed 2 bunches steamed and one as a raw salad. Both

delicious.

eat at least 1/4 pound every day of greens and most days 1/2 pound - that

includes smoothies, salads, kale chips and kale crackers - my new favorite treat

to eat.
