Guest guest Posted January 16, 2012 Report Share Posted January 16, 2012 It's time to revamp my dietary choices. Mainly because I can't feel like crap anymore. Some days I feel great, others I'm sluggish and can't get enough sleep. My eating cycles are all messed up, and I know getting out of bed for food because I can't sleep on an empty stomach isn't helping! The second reason is my minor aches & pains, all those seemingly small recurring issues. I'm wondering how many of those can be reversed with a better diet. I know I'm looking to incorporate a large portion of raw foods. I need to eat more fruits & veggies, and while I'm not ready to go all raw or vegan, I do believe it helps retain nutrients. Likewise, I think the Vitamix will allow me to consume greater portions of these more easily. So that's my beginner story. My question to you is: What diet or health rules do you live by, and why? Is there a particular book or diet that you'd recommend? I'm curious what diet has helped different types of people & problems, as I don't believe food is one type fits all. Only recently have I started hearing and learning about alkaline & acidic foods, but I'm intrigued. I currently have more than half a dozen books out from the library! Ready to dive in.
