My Vitamix came today!

Made soup for dinner, 2 carrots, 2 campari tomatoes, 1 stalk celery, taco

seasoning and beef broth. After it heated up I added some corn. Then I made oat

milk from the blenditandmendit site. I probably wouldn't drink it but it should

be good in a smoothie. The only thing was the recipe/instructions say to strain

it like almond milk but there was nothing in mine to strain. Maybe after it

settles overnight there will be something in the bottom to strain. I didn't have

any dates yet so I used 2 tbsp of honey.

This machine is amazing! It's really tall for me though. I think it may be a

little awkward using the tamper with it on the counter. Might have to put it on

the kitchen table instead.

It's going to be a fun weekend trying all kinds of recipes.

Thanks for the report! I love to hear what people make for their first recipes!If it is too tall, you "might" want to consider the extra 32 oz. container. I use mine 90% of the time! It fits under the cabinets, and is very easy to handle, and to clean! :-)If you buy it within 3 months of getting your machine, you can get it at the package price (as if you bought it with your machine) of $99 rather than the $129 online retail price…

Thanks so much. The reason I didn't go with the 48oz container she offered me

when I ordered is that my current blender is 48 oz and with the green smoothies,

somtimes I have it filled to the top and have to blend some down and then add

the rest of the greens.

I will definitely order another 64oz then.

Congratulations. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. You might want to buy the smaller

container. It will fit on the counter under the cabinets IF you take the clear

plastic plug out of the top and just drop it into the machine. Before I had the

smaller container I could only store it on the counter under the cabinets by

having the container sit beside the base.
