Guest guest
Dear Bill, In the early 1970's a Dr. Albert LaVerne with a clinic in New York, did a lot of work in C02 therapy and with some success I believe he had practised at St.Belleview Psychiatric clinic prior to opening a clinic of his own. He was primarily oriented toward trying to help people who were addicted to drugs or alcohol or both.I seem to recall that Hahnemann Institute, Philadelphia undertook a study, but my memory is fuzzy. I do recall however that C02 deserved the involvement of some of our top researchers and scientists and there is potential for good results. Dr. LaVerne called C02 brain food. Guest guest
and list members, I've read about CO2 Therapy and it's benefits, but havehad a hard time reconciling the differences between that and oxygen therapy. Seems to a lay person like me to be at cross purposes with one another. I have read much of the Buteyko material which seems to say that too much breathed oxygen causes asthama, allergies, etc. If I'm misunderstanding or someone could clarify, I'd appreciate it. Guest guest
Dear : Dr. LaVerne used both the C02 and 02. First he used the C02 until the patient lost consciousness and then went with the 02 to fully restore consciousness. I don't have a clue on what this was supposed to do to the brain, but he did have some success in treating addictions
Guest guest
This CO2/O2 stuff is fascinating. If CO2 releases oxygen to the cells of the body, as someone has indicated on this thread, it brings up an interesting conjecture. i.e., adding a half teaspoon of sodium bicarb, or better yet sodium-potassium bicarb, to a glass of water. Stir and drink. Follow this with homozon or any of the usual drinkable oxygen products discussed herein. The net effect just might be a much more efficient and protected delivery of oxygen to the cells. Guest guest
A lot of work was done a few decades ago on " carbogen, " a mixture of oxygen and higher than normal carbon dioxide. Easily taken by breathing, it causes a psychedelic type experience. Here is a reference:http://sulcus.berkeley.edu/mcb165/mcb165sp98tPaper/mcb165sp98R.manuscr\ ipt/_301.html But, when I did a search on the web looking for this, I found there is a lot of work being done with carbogen today. On cancer and other things, for instance. Try putting " carbogen " in a search engine and see how many medical topics there are. jim FAMANSON@... wrote: > Dear : > Dr. LaVerne used both the C02 and 02. Guest guest
, Sorry, I lack the expertise in biochemistry to elaborate meaningfully on my conjecture. It is just based on reading previous threads here on the subject. Interestingly, Jim's post on 'carbogen' points to some pssible benefits of combining carbon and oxygen. I also remember reading years ago an article by an MD with a leaning towards alternative medicine who claimed that sodium-potassium bicarbonate (1:1 ratio of Na and K) was an immensely beneficial aid for restoring good digestion, metabolism, etc. I will see if I can find the print-out in my Lost Library of andria stack of print-outs in the corner. best Colin > Colin, > Can you elaborate on this? > > > -------------------------- eGroups Sponsor > > -------------------------~-~> Need a credit card?
