I have some wooden log molds and coincidently I have not made GM soap in them that I have left uncolored, so I don't know what color they would have been (white, cream or tan). The soaps made in them do really heat up without insulation though, so if heat contributes to the color change then I think the wooden molds would do it! Almost all goat's milk soap with vary in shades from dark ivory to amber in color.
