Guest guest
I always wondered why the Kellogg's brand of Rice Crispies has 25 ingredients while the one I get from Whole Foods has just one ingredient (puffed rice) Posted by: "" berrywell@... berrywell You are welcome, GL. Yes, I mean the kind you can get in a store, but rather than opting for something like "Rice Crispies", look for an organic puffed rice. The ONLY ingredients should be "organic puffed rice". Most rice is "enriched" which means sprayed with all sorts of "vitamins" of questionable origin, so opting for an organic brand will avoid such things. You can also find organic puffed millet, puffed quinoa, etc. I find them at Earth Fare and Greenlife and Whole Foods-they are usually in a bag, rather than a box, and are usually found on the lower shelves where the regular cereals are. Having a plain "base" such as puffed rice, allows YOU to choose what goodies-berries, dates, nuts, seeds, etc. go in to it!
