Guest guest
I doubt it is safe-MOST fabrics are treated with flame retardants, chemical strengtheners, modified cornstarch, and/or metalic dyes. I only use unbleached muslin for food use, and even that I detox and santize really well before use. I am chemically sensitive, so I am more vigilant than most would need to be, but without knowing what is in a fabric, I personally wouldn't use it. > > Hi! > > Is there anything about the organza fabric that could be considered *harmful* to us if using as a nut milk, pulp bag AND also for making greek style yogurt? > > The weave is so tight and it is sturdy enough. > > I just happen to have a lot of it and wonder if it is food safe to use. > > Thanks! > Sherri >
Guest guest
Yes, I detox all of my clothes, well in advance of needing them. I buy clothes on clearance at the end of each season, and detox it through the year for the next season-that gives it plenty of time to air out. I also stick to only certain brands, and I buy only white, navy blue, black or gray clothes, since those have the least amount of metalic dyes in them. ALL dyes contain soy, which I am highly allergic to, so I have to take the extra measures or I am broke out in hives 24/7-sadly, it took me most of my life to figure out that clothing dyes were the main cause of my lifelong chronic hives! sigh... > >> >> Hi! > >> >> > >> >> Is there anything about the organza fabric that could be > >> considered *harmful* to us if using as a nut milk, pulp bag AND also > >> for making greek style yogurt? > >> >> > >> >> The weave is so tight and it is sturdy enough. > >> >> > >> >> I just happen to have a lot of it and wonder if it is food safe to > >> use. > >> >> > >> >> Thanks! > >> >> Sherri > >> >> > >> > > >> > > >> > > >> > ------------------------------------ > >> > > >> > Please bookmark these pages: > >> > > >> > /links/ > >> > (this is the Links page where I save the answers to FAQs and > >> Answers, Recipes, and LOTS of other helpful information - this page > >> is always being added to) > >> > > >> > > >> /links/IMPORTANT_VitamixE\ nthusiasts_Membership__001327149393/ > >> > PLEASE DON'T UNSUBSCRIBE IF YOU ARE GETTING TOO MUCH MAIL!
