Guest guest
Has anyone ever made these bags using hemp fabric? If so, what type of hemp did you use and where did you purchase this? Thanks Sandy
Guest guest
I would likely use unbleached muslin, then then, I have not looked at hemp fabric to see how tight the weave is. Guest guest
Yes, I did them with hemp, but surprisingly they didn't hold up well. I am a big fan of hemp, generally, but didn't like the way my bags turned out (I made sprouting bags) I like the unbleached muslin better, plus I found hemp fabric to be very expensive and hard to find. I ordered mine online, but when it arrived, it had a strong smell of cigarette smoke in it that was nearly impossible to get out. I have an older hemp shirt that I have considered sanitizing and trying to make bags from, but I am not entirely certain it hasn't been treated with some type of flame retardant or something, as most clothes are, so I have held off. > > Has anyone ever made these bags using hemp fabric?
