Guest guest
Hi Sharon! Fun meeting you here too! Calcium carbonate needs an acid medium, I don't know that other calciums do. According to Cary Rheams different calciums respond in different pH's. Dr Neiper, who invented orotates, said calcium needs fats in the system to be assimilated. My bad experience with coral calcium came when I was also on an extremely alkalizing diet. Maybe I just got too alkaline. Can happen. Not sure I am ready to diss it in general. Certainly not ready to try it again either however. ~^^V^^~
Guest guest
Vilik, I tried Coral calcium but hated the taste so quit that right way. I am now taking Sonne's calphonite which is a liquid and has a very good taste. Where did you get your info on Dr. Reams? I have searched everywhere and only found one book. An elderly lady from the Canadian border sent me 3 audios done in interview style with him. I only started taking calcium after hearing those tapes. But of course I am never sure if I'm taking the right one. According to Cary Rheams different calciums respond in different pH's. 500 mg of calcium carbonate will overpower the average digestive system. Take no more than 300 mg of it at a meal to get the best use of it. It is a high energy calcium. It will move body chemistry to the alkaline side. Also, children under 12 don't need calcium carbonate, they need the gluconate form. Got this info from one of the " Reams " teachers at one of his many seminars. Personally, I tend to avoid calcium carbonate. There are better calciums. I know nothing anymore about the brands out there in the stores so I can't answer specific questions about them.
