Yesterday they had 1 bunch of organic red chard which they have never had before. I bought it, but now i really have no idea what to do with it. Do you put it in salads or maybe in smoothies? I am not sure what flavor it has. I am looking for vegan or vegetarian recipes or ideas. Thanks for any tips.

I find Swiss Chard to be a great, mild green for Green Smoothies - I wash the

broad leaves, and remove the bulkiest base of the stem, but don't find the Swiss

Chard stem to be as bitter as a Kale or Collard Stem, so don't worry so much

about de-stemming it :-)

All colors of Chard taste great to me…

Aloha,

I like chard too. We get rainbow chard in my CSA. I also find it much milder

than kale and the stems are celery-like and crunchy. I love it steamed or

sautéed with garlic. I also have had it in smoothies and in salad. It's a

wonderful veggie to try! Have fun!
