Actually I have all of those ingredients listed as part of my well stocked vegan kitchen. LOL. I used to always have all sorts of allergy problems, but once I got off of the dairy products, they all disappeared, so far I don't seem to be allergic to anything else. I have always drank soy milk, even when I was a child as I had a milk allergy and have never had a problem with it. I do also use rice, hemp, almond and other nondairy milks as well. I love them all.I think I will make the recipe tomorrow and just leave out the potato starch. Thanks for the help.

Just a side note, you might want to do a little research on soy...many of us have found that rice milk, almond milk, nut or grain milks are a better sub than soy, which is controversial for many reasons. Not saying you SHOULDN'T drink it, just that you might want to research it to decide if you want to. I am personally allergic to soy, so I avoid it at all costs, and many people are finding that soy is contributing to the development of allergies, so just a heads up. All types of milk subs are also easily made in the Vitamix. To answer your direct question about a sub for potato starch, should you chose to use one, would be tapioca, chia, flax, sunflower seed, agar agar, etc., but those aren't typical ingredients to have around the house either, lol.> > >

I was told by a friend who works in a large clinic here in Florida that the oncology doctors have announced to women to not use soy. Maybe they meant for women who already had cancer but I would heed the warning. I have never been a fan of soy anyway with all the other products available. Norma
