Guest guest
Oh my I adore Floating island. I haven't made it in several years. I agree, the ice creams made from a good full cream are the best. I have a ice cream machine which has a compressor so all you do is put your cooked but cooled custard into it and turn it on. But ...I don't know if I'll use it again after doing the VitaMix version. I'll have to make up some custard and freeze it to try it in the VM. I used my big ice cream maker a lot every summer when I entertaining more but it only makes one quart at a time. I might just sell it. I could use the freed up kitchen space for a new more useful kitchen toy.TerrySent from my iPad 1st gen.On Apr 3, 2012, at 3:52 AM, tuzahu973@... wrote: make good old ice cream,or frozen custard, or french ice cream (basically frozen custard). check out youtube.com for some great recipes on these. Good cream should be enjoyed. I love "floating island", make a custard 'lake' and the meringue island...so elegant. or bread pudding with the cream made into custard. whip it for tasty topping on breakfast waffles, use it in a cheese cake recipe, add cocoa and sugar for a super hot chocolate....and whipped cream for the topping!!! Guest guest
Do any of you know how to take the ice cream that’s left over and put it in the freezer and then not have it come out as hard as an ice cube?
