Guest guest
Have you ground any grains or hard seeds in the wet container? If so, they may have pitted it, which is one reason we like the dry container for such things. I personally NEVER use detergent on my containers...I buzz up a bit of baking soda in hot water, and a drop of peroxide or GSE, if needed. You might try soaking it in a baking soda solution overnight (bit of lemon juice won't hurt-in fact, buzz up a quarter of a lemon with the baking soda, then leave the solution in overnight. Then, brush it with a good bottle brush, or electric toothbrush (I keep a cheap (5 bucks walmart) electric toothbrush in my ktichen for just such things. It sounds like you might just have a buildup, but if you have ground seeds or hard grains in it, it may be pitted. Lea Ann can get you a good deal on the other size containers, or a new one, if you need it. I find it is best to have a container just for harder things that may pit it. I rarely use my 64 oz container, but I keep it pretty pristine-I use my 48 oz heavily and don't concern myself with cloudiness on it-it is more of my " utility " container. Hope this helps a bit! > > Hi all - I bought my vita mix in December from Costco. A few weeks ago some water spots formed on the container and they won't come off. I use my vitamix everyday to make berry smoothies and I clean it everyday using the method recommended as soon as I as I'm done masking my smoothie. (a drop of soap and some water and blend clean and then I rinse with water until clean). > > I have tried to scrub the spots and they won't come off. I'm pretty bummed because this +$400 blender looks like crap now and I'm afraid it's only going to get worse. My wif no longer want to leave it in my counter when guest come. > > The spots are stubbron any suggestions? > > Thanks >
