Guest guest
Dear LM, thanks for your reply I have seen a cardiologist they have said that I should ignore them, I am 42 and I think that I am pre menopausal as they are coming later each month, the palpitations scare the life out of me more when they wake you from your sleep. Thanks again. Sue.
Guest guest
Sorry I should have said I live in England, we seem to be way behind the times over here. I must admit that I have felt its hormonal for along time as they get worse in the week leading up to my monthly cycle. The hospital dr I have seen said its difficult to treat hormonal palpitations. I wish I lived over there, your country is much more advanced. Thank you though, please keep me informed how things go for you. Sue
Guest guest
Sue, Heart palps can have many causes. What is your approx. age? Heart palps can be associated with peri menopause or menopause itself. I have heart palps but mine are anxiety related not physiological illness or hormones. Hope this helps. I'd see a cardiologist. LMgibbense@... wrote: Just wondered if any of the ladies in the group suffer with heart palpitations. Mine seem to be getting worse, they are waking me when I am asleep, I have had every test going heart monitored for a week, ECG's the lot, they show the palpitations up but the doctor has said that they do not need medication as that sometimes makes things worse. Any help or advise appreciated, I have had my implants out for seven years. Thanks Sue.
Guest guest
Sue: Glad I can help. Check this out www.womensinternational.com this is Women's International Pharmacy--WIP. Contact them and they will send you a list of docs(GPs, endocrinologist, GYNs) in your area who prescribe natural hormones for women. I just got back from an endo today that I heard of through WIP and he's good. I'm going to be put on natural progesterone for PMS. Most other docs I've been to told me to just "live with it" or go on the Pill. I don't accept that as a solution so I turned to WIP. Last week, I saw a WIP GYN at town University, he's good too. Your heart palps might be hormonal, check it out, get to an endocrinologist who's creative enough to treat hormonal symptoms without throwing the Pill or Xanax at you. Good luck. Guest guest
Hi Sue, This may not work for you but it worked for my ex-husband. Just by taking cold fish oil cap. everyday he stoped having heart palpitations. Something about the blood cells being broken up helped. Can't hurt plus it is good for you anyway. His were so bad that at times his whole body would lift off the bed. I had these all the time when I was your age. I don't think they were related to my implants because they FINALLY stopped a good while before I had explant surgery. I am 51 and had my surgery 4 weeks ago. I now feel fantastic! Yes, they are scary but I got used to them. Jade

Guest guest
Sue: Hi.Not a problem. Go to a good doc with an open mind and WIP ships bioidentical hormones world wide. I'm sure the UK must have some good gyns or endos. I will ask my father--he lives in London he may of heard who's good over there. Take Care, LMgibbense@... wrote: Sorry I should have said I live in England, we seem to be way behind the times over here. Guest guest
It's different for everyone. Meditation is a good first line of defense for some... This sounds like a question a reg'lar M.D. would actually answer, and nearly none of us on the board are qualified to provide an answer. ~Haley happyruiam <happyru@...> wrote: How long do the Heart Palpatations last ? Guest guest
If heart palps are something new that you never have had before or are getting worse, I would think you need to get it checked out. It would not be possible for anyone to say how to get relief when the source of the problem is not known. Seems to me, you need to find out what is causing them in order to know how to get relief. Guest guest
I dont know if this would apply to you. I've been out of my moldy homes for a long time so this may not help you but I know that when I have heart palpitations now it means somethings in the air, mold/myco's or chemicals and I'm haveing vascular effects from it. also some medicenes can cause it too. I have mcs to molds/myco;s/chemicals, many things can bring this on. if you can get somewhere where you know there is some really clean air it might help the palpitations mellow out. worth a try. if you have good clean air outside it may help to set out there awhile. if you have mcs you may have to rid your home of all chemicals, perfume items ect. as they may be bothering you further. tc. > How long do the Heart Palpatations last ? Guest guest
The only way I could get rid of my heart palpitations, which last for very long periods of time, was get myself out of the toxic air I was breathing in; or if I could somehow expel the chemical that was causing it. Otherwise, for me, it continued.
Guest guest
This is what my wife is experiencing now and has been for many months/years. At first we did not know this was related and yes it is very scarey, just not knowing. Not long ago I rushed her to the hospital for just this, her blood pressure was all over the place and of course her pulse and respiratory. The doctor couldn't believe what was occurring, never seen anything like it. Her heartbeat was irregular even for irregular. Her ECG showed it, the treating physician was very concerned, it was early morning hours and made a call to the cardiologist. I guess he didn't want to get out of bed and told the doctor to release her, grrrr. Today it has not gotten much better as a matter of fact it seems to have become worse. She has been out of the contaminated environment for 8 years. We know she has 3 bad valves and before this had a strong heart without any problems. We have been told she a prime candidate for a heart attack or stroke or failure. Multiple organs have been effected, this is just one that shows the results of frequently/continuously. This is also another reason why some posts on this board seemed to be delayed, they are. I apologize to many individuals that have emailed me that I have not had time to respond back. I have been spending a little more time with Sharon. There have been many different scenerios going through my mind lately and I'm trying to accommodate everyone. Steps are being taken so your messages will be released in a timely fashion and the help, support and understanding will continue flowing freely. KC > > How long do the Heart Palpatations last ?
