I am sensitive to wheat and have No Problems with the " grass " . The grain and

the grass are very different!

About the sprouts, I'd say experiment. Personally, I love to make a Green

Smoothie, add the sprouts whole then eat them out of the green smoothie with a

spoon. I love the texture of sprouts. Eating it like this is like having more

" sprout dressing " than sprouts! :-) I do the same thing with my " Blended

Salads " (check out my " Cold Green Soup " recipe here:

60-day juice fast) but with raw green juice smoothies rather than juicing.

I also made an appointment this week before I start with my naturopath and my

chiropractor for tips and support since they both know me so well and are just

the greatest health care professionals I've ever known. I do not take any

prescription drugs and have no chronic conditions except mild arthritis and

sciatica. I do also have occasional bouts of uticaria which worsen or may be

triggered when I eat a lot of wheat, we think.

Anyway, armed with my Vitamix, the Green Smoothie Bible and Green Smoothie

Revolution I'm going to give this thing a real college try. I feel that this is

the online group where I can get some great support so I'm sharing this with you

and thought I'd update you on my progress going forward.

Questions: If you're allergic to wheat is it likely that you'll have a problem

with sprouted wheat (wheat grass)? I do fairly well with Spelt. I just started a

bunch of sprouts (mung beans and a mix of alfalfa and other seeds)...how much

should I put in a smoothie per person? Does this constitute a " green " for that

smoothie? I have wild fennel coming up like crazy right now in my garden. This

is not the kind that makes the big bulb but the wild kind that's all foliage.

Can I use this as a green in a smoothie? How much per person (hubby is doing one

smoothie a day with me now and wants to continue doing that throughout (yay for

him!) so sometimes I'll be making for one and sometimes for two. I'm glad I got

the full Vitamix package from Costco with all three containers!
