Guest guest
I get this question a lot, so I thought that I would post my standard answer to the list so that I could save the answer in our archives (aka Links).A lot of people think that it is arsenic in apple seeds (but it is really cyanide). Luckily, not only is it a natural form of cyanide, but some consider it a GOOD thing to ingest! Take a look at this very informative video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4312930190281243507# if you don't have time to watch the whole thing, at least watch starting at 28 minutes.Personally, I don't go out of my way to put apple seeds in or take them out of my smoothies. I put the whole core in. If a seed falls on the cutting board I throw it away. If there are seeds remaining in the apple core as I toss it into the smoothie - they go into the smoothie :-)Hope this is helpful information!
