Guest guest
This looks refreshing! That is a lot of smoothie - how many people did it serve (or were there leftovers?) Guest guest
I had put half away in the fridge in a mason jar and today the pineapple flavor came on even more. It was wonderful both days as my breakfast. Velda On 4/16/2012 12:37 PM, drunkendebbieninjamaster@... wrote: Yum! Guest guest
I almost always make a double batch and store half in the fridge in a glass jar for the next morning. Guest guest
Keep i mind I add about 1 1/2 to 2 cups of filtered water and often at least a cup of ice. Guest guest
This makes me curious. Does the smoothie not separate and get an " off " color by sitting in the fridge? Sometimes the one I'm drinking does this if I don't get right to it.
Guest guest
Citrus is a fruit that should not be stored - it turns bitter after about 1/2 hour. I can't really say about other fruits as I've never stored a smoothie. Guest guest
No off color at all. But I did put juice of a half lemon in it. This particular smoothie the foam died down a bit and there was a little clearish juice at the bottom but a good shake the next day and it was good to go, and as I said, tasted even better with a little more pineapple taste. It was good both days. I would not save it more than a day or two and in fridge right away after mixing i a glass jar. Velda On 4/17/2012 7:09 AM, busymomothree wrote: > This makes me curious. Guest guest
If I do citrus with peel and or white part, it can change flavor a little overnight, but the one I made with carrots, with juice of half lemon, did not change flavor or get bitter at all.
