Guest guest
Barb, I joined the group on behalf of my son, who was diagnosed before Christmas, 04. When he was an infant, I noted a shortened last finger. At 10, a friend-American doctor noticed that one of his legs was shorter by 3 cm. By high school, his schoolmates queried why he walked differently. I noticed that he was having problems with " pincer grips. " At 16, he had a seizure and a stroke like attacks diagnosed by Pediatric Neurologist as BMD (a migraine complication). At the same time, he had micro-feet surgery to correct above deformity. Everything went well though I noticed that his lower legs didn't develop enough muscles. His hands had difficulty opening bottles buttoning his shirt. But inspite of these, he still is good in " building computers. " Before Christmas last year, he had his 2nd attack with same signs/symptoms (when he was 16). Now with the dx., we don't know whether to be happy/sad?? He started to wear braces which he claims is helping him to walk steadily....A worried, but hopeful mom!!!!
