Guest guest
Darby, Kids with and without CMT can get growing pains. So it's hard to say. Can your son walk on his toes without bending his knees?
Guest guest
What does walking on toes without bending knees mean? My grandaughter walks on her tip toes all of the time, so did I and so did her mother. In Ok
Guest guest
Hi Darby, I have CMT 1A - and as a child I had cramps, especially at night, my parents did not know about CMT - I guess best thing is to teach your son how to stretch, and have a short massage before bed time. Guest guest
I don't know if I read all the " walking on toes " e-mails, but I did the same thing when I was between the ages of 5-10. I thought at the time it was a good thing, that I could be a ballerina, if I'm thinking the same thing, maybe not. Sounds like it.

Guest guest
Hi Candy: Our son's symptoms (evident when he was 3) included lots of falling, difficulty climbing stairs, poor balance, and badly pronated feet. He in particular couldn't jump with both feet off the ground at the same time, and had a hard time walking sideways. Hope this helps Cheers Sally
