Guest guest
Hi everyone, Imagine my surprise when I called my pediatrician today to request a referral for some ADHD testing for Kelsey to hear her espouse nutritional supplements. She has a new book out " How to Get Kids to Eat Great and Love It " (Dr. Wood, available from Amazon.com evidently) and is pretty up on nutrition and brain development. She says there's been some ground-breaking research reported lately in psychiatric journals, etc. on how supplemental Omega Three fats and bioflavinoids are offering major help to ADD kids, increasing focus and calming hyperactivity. (A complete chapter in her book.) She told me that for an optimal amount of omega three fats (critical for brain development), we'd have to eat fish seven times a week. Evidently she's been speaking on behalf of a local group which is getting some national acclaim on nutrition for kids. She referred me to a local nurse who would give me more detail on using these supplements and provide me with some literature on the research findings. Interesting. I'll let you know what I find out.... in San Diego
